The piano is the most
satisfying instrument I have ever played in my life. That is why almost
all music I have written use it. Sometimes as natural sounding as
possible, on other occasions, so deconstructed and manipulated that it
is hard to recognize.
The vast sonic structures of a piano never
bores me. Even a completely out-of-tune, mechanically worn, upright
still makes an inspiring sound source to me.The sheer unaccountable number of different piano sounds inspired me to this project. I want to gather ONE NOTE from a huge amount of different pianos from all over the world! And I only want ONE NOTE from each piano, so I can create one HUGE virtual instrument. This awesome instrument will be used in the compositions for my next album that will be released on m=minimal in 2012. The details how this project works and what has been achieved can be found on this site. I hope to be able to realize this project with the help from YOU and I hope as many people as possible will join in. Christian Borngraeber, may 2011 |
